Florida Parent Network Conference

Dear Friends,

Thank you for attending our first Summit and Conference in Orlando.

It was an amazing event with almost 500 parent advocates gathering to celebrate educational choice. Florida has more options than any other state in the country.

We renewed our commitment to protect and defend a parent’s right to choose educational options that work for our kids.

We talked about our exciting plans for NO MORE WAITING LISTS so that every child in Florida who needs an option gets one.

Parents networked and learned from other parents and educational choice advocates from all over Florida and all over the country.

You heard from Dr. Steve Perry, a national speaker and parent power supporter, who told us that we continue to inspire a national movement.

You heard from Deputy Stanley Murray of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, who talked about bullying prevention strategies.

Over 40 of you got on Twitter! (If you didn’t get on at the conference, click here to get on and join us now!) #nomorewaitinglists

You attended sessions designed to help black students and LGBTQ kids, sessions to help you get answers to questions about Gardiner and FTC scholarships. You wrote letters to your lawmakers. You learned how to talk to the media and how to parent positively.

Hopefully you had some fun, too!

Thank you again for attending and sharing your stories with us. You continue to inspire me every day.
